Using blogs for offline marketing has many benefits and uses. For instance, lets say you are promoting a Home Building Website. To get traffic to the site we want good quality links pointing back to our Home Building Site....almost nobody, outside of the internet marketing community, knows how to do this. One way is to develop a series of blogs that are interlinked and of a similar theme. Well, I found a tool that does this easily and shaves hours off of your efforts and can be used to maintain the blogs you build....it's called BlogHatter and I reviewed bloghatter in the following comments.
Earlier this year I did some beta testing for a product called BlogHatter. I loved the product and will do a full BlogHatter review very soon along with some videos. However, I've been answering some questions over at one of the forums and thought I'd post my response here. This fellow wanted to know if anyone had started to make money with BlogHatter yet....obviously, its too soon to tell how well it will work if you are looking for empirical evidence. Trust me though, this baby does exactly when the creator says.....it makes blog networks!
Richard....your question really isn't fair for anyone considering the effectiveness of BlogHatter.
BlogHatter is the type of tool that you need to use for a period of time to build the blogs you need and want to develop content and backlinks. This WSO isn't quite 2 weeks old, and it would be impossible for anyone to proclaim praises for the great results they were getting....in fact, if they claimed all kinds of traffic and sales then they would probably be lying! People just haven't been able to use it long enough to judge its effectiveness.
I can tell you as a beta tester, I used it for about a month or month and a half before the wso. I created several test blogs with links all pointing back to a new site in the hobby niche. I can also tell you that all the pages I posted in the blogger blogs, the wordpress.com blogs and the wordpress blogs are all spidered and indexed. My test site features a free minicourse and I've been getting signups for about 3 weeks now.....and a couple of book sales. I really haven't done anything other then a couple of articles to ezinearticles and some bookmarking.
All my content for the test blogs consisted of PLR articles and reprint articles.
BlogHatter is a tool designed to make life easier by automating some of the practices used in internet marketing. There really isn't anything B-lack H-at about it....so, even if you're a newbie you don't have to worry about doing something that will get you banned.
As I said someplace before...BlogHatter is newbie friendly! If you are a newbie, then you might have read about blog networks, silos, link wheels.....these are just a combination of sites similar in topic designed to funnel traffic to your main money sight.....this is what BlogHatter can do.
BlogHatter is tool designed to allow you to create a network of blogs over the long term. Even if you set your goals low and only created 1 new blogger blog a week with 20 articles. In a year you could have 52 blogs in a variety of different niches just building up that link juice :).....don't forget, once you set up a blog in BlogHatter, it only takes a couple of minutes to import more articles and schedule the articles to get posted to your blog. Keeping the blogger blog fresh just might help you get more traffic!
BlogHatter is going to help you create a system of traffic. I suppose, you can sell directly on or from the blogs, you surely could put Adsense or Clickbank links on the blogs you create, but in my eyes I believe the real power will come by creating a network of blogs.
For a long time I was an architectural building contractor...building houses, commercial buildings and stores. Inevitably the best contractors were the ones with the newest and best tools (all tools designed to do a better job and increase productivity)....and they had the ability to use them. That's not to say a carpenter can't build a house with a hammer and nails....but the carpenter with an air gun that shoots nails usually produces better quality framing and get completed results much faster! Internet Marketing isn't much different. Learning to pick out the tools that are best takes some time, learning how to use the tools takes more time ....but in the end you will have your desired results.
In my mind, BlogHatter is like an air gun that shoots nails.....it will build blogs fast. You need to know why you're building them! You need to know what keywords to use, you have to put some effort into rewriting at least the titles and preferably some of the articles if you really want some decent results. BlogHatter will not build blogs on sand....but will build your blog network on stone so they aren't washed away by whims of Google.
Just buy the air gun and build some blogs :) let the autposting begin!

One of the toughest aspects of Internet Marketing is putting together all the pieces. Dennis Becker of Earn1KaDay, a internet marketing teaching membership, has put the best of the best together. And as a result of that, a great group of marketers have joined to learn more and share their successes.
Earn1KaDay is a teaching membership/forum that encourages and teaches it's members to make $1000 dollars a day. You might think that's impossible but I can assure you there are members that have that kind of daily income.
Earn1Kaday is a natural progression of Dennis's first book and membership called 5bucksaday, in fact if you go there you can download a free ebook.
Watch the video I put together, it's somewhat lighthearted but will give you an idea of what you can find insided of Earn1Kaday. Trust me, I've belonged to many memberships and sites claiming to teach you all the unknown secrets.....what a joke, but Earn1Kaday is the real deal and if you want to start making some money online....check it out!

Here's a followup on the new site The Best of Mchenry I set up on July 18th, 2009.
I'm working on an Xsitepro Business Directory Template and set up an example on a new domain at www.BestofMchenry.com, unfortunatly I had one of my attacks and ended up in the hospital on the 19th, 20th and 21st so today July 22, 2009 is the first time I had a chance to check out the whether or not the site was indexed.
As you can see from the screen shot Google indexed 10 of the new sites pages in 3 days. I wish I could have checked on the second day because I've been able to get new sites indexed in google within 24 hours and I suspect this has been indexed under 24 hours according to my web logs. That's pretty exciting!
I constantly read about people not getting any traffic or not being able to index their sites....Xsitepro owners included. Xsitepro has some pretty awesome tools that allow you to get your sites in the search engines quickly and I'll give you a quick run down of what I did.
First I created the site from the Xsitepro Business Directory Template and added a couple of business listings by creating some pages. Then I created an XML file for the site from within Xsitepro, this is bestofmchenry rss feed. Next I created a Google Sitemap from within Xsitepro.
I submitted the google sitemap to Google and I submitted the RSS feed to some rss directories.
The only other thing I did was to link back to www.BestOfMchenry.com from this site and from new blogger blog. That's all I did and at least 10 pages have been indexed....pretty cool huh!
Now, the next thing to do is to start submitting some articles and press releases for keywords I want my clients pages to rank for. I'll try to document my progress, I'm limited because of health reasons but hopefully I'll get a few more clients and get this local business directory ramped up!
Here's the screen shot of the pages indexed by Google.

Xsitepro is the perfect website development software to use when developing a Local Business Directory. Portal sites for local businesses are rapidly becoming popular but they either look like a first grader put it together or it's a very complicated wordpress or joomla template.
Xsitepro with it's template driven websites makes it really easy to build and maintain a local business directory like this one: Mchenry Local Business Directory.
I've been working on this xsitepro local business template for offline marketing and it's almost done, you can find further information and sign up for a notification list with discount at Xsitepro Local Business Directory.
've been working on a Xsitepro Offline Marketing Template that is a little more complex than the standard Xsitepro Template.
This template is designed to be used by the offline marketer to go from city to city or town to town with the intent of advertising and marketing local business operations....driving traffic to their websites, advertising their business through appropiate keywords and marketing their businesses by offering list building through optin forms.
The Xsitepro Offline Marketing Template is designed to provide a multitude of monetization models. Across the top are 3 ads with images. These appear on each page and can be sold for $100 plus per month. The ads can be stationary or rotating.
Below the 3 ads across the top is a xsitepro's dynamic menu. I'm working out a few kinks but it should serve perfectly as an easy method of navigation.
The main panel is configured with a premium advertising space. The premium ad could start at $200 plus a month, of course it depends on the traffic you're getting. The space would feature an image along with an advertising message which would contain a link back to the advertiser's site.
I haven't really developed the left navigation colum yet. I'm not sure I like the scrap paper look....but we'll have to see how it works out. The nav colum could feature more ads or banner space to advertise along with providing some standard nav links. A rotating banner space could work out well....something like special of the day or week. Again, this feature would be sold as an add on.
I think one of the most interesting features is the premium advertising page here's an example xxxxxxxxxx. Many small businesses don't have a web presence, they do not have any type of web page and the thought of getting online scares the crap out of them. The Premium Advertising Page is basically a single one page website they can have. It includes their basica information along with an advertising message and a few images. Most importantly this page can be used to get them on Google Local. I have a few things to do on this page yet, but take a look and see how you might use this page.
There's more but this will give you an idea of what Xsitepro Offline Marketing Template will offer. All pages will come with basic templates that you simply copy and paste. Of course Xsitepro's full compliment of features will be able to be used on the entire site. This will give you, the offline marketer, tremendous flexibility and power.
I have to say the income potential with this type of template is unlimited. You are limited only to your imagination and ambition. You won't get rich over night sending out a few emails....but if you approach this as a real business, get on the phone, knock on doors and figure out how to set up a local business directory in your own neighborhood, town or city.....you can then take this worldwide.

Amazingly people have given up using the yellow pages to find your business, instead people use a variety of search engines when looking for a product or service but did you realize that 85% of any given market will first check out the internet? This is a staggering statistic regarding your market and should weigh heavily when considering how to market and advertise your business. As a small or even large business owner you need to get a handle on how important it is to have your business on the internet, otherwise known as a web presence because in the near future almost all businesses will be located by internet searches. Today just about everybody is jumping on the internet, from their i-phones, laptop computers, personal computer, etc. and if you are not there for people to see... Your competition surely will be!
A person with a cell phone can easily get on the internet and search for your website, that's why it is so important to have your site optimized properly. While Google is the search engine of choice, you must be in one of the first 3 search results if you want good traffic. Best case scenario would be to have your website show up for the number 1 spot on Google!
As a business owner, you most likely do not have the time to learn how to create websites, write and understand computer code, optimize your website for the search engines, get involved in social networking (MySpace, Facebook, etc.), utilize article marketing, set up a Pay Per Click campaign or do anything related to internet marketing! All these things probably make no sense to you but take my word for it, you really need to put them in place. If you ignore proper internet marketing methods, you do it at your own peril.
Like it or not, your business success will in some degree depend on your website, consequently you will need to find an internet marketer who specializes in Offline Marketing or you might look into an Offline Consultant so you can get your website tuned up and ready for all the people looking for you. Optimize your website properly and watch your profits take off along with knowing you've taken a giant step into the future for your business!
Since you're not an offline marketing expert it's really easy to get this wrong. You want a web presence so you hire a web design firm and then think you're all done. You want a web presence so you hire a web design firm and then think you're all done. Unfortunately, most web design firms are clueless when it comes to search engine strategies and other offline marketing strategies, so they fall short of getting you listed on Google.
Your only alternative is to find an offline consultant. This person and their team know exactly what is needed to make a business appear in top of the search results. They will consider your business as unique and find out what is needed to get your business to come up in a favorable position when somebody searches for your keywords. This holistic approach to offline marketing is the only one you should consider for your small business, anything else will not yield the results you're looking for!

If you are considering working as an Offline Consultant you should have some kind of knowledge of basic internet marketing skills such as: -working with pay per click campaigns such as Google Adwords -setting up and autoresponder account like Aweber -writing a press release and submitting press releases -writing and submitting articles -creating a website or blog and using a program like Xsitepro -optimizing a website for the search engines
At first glance, all the above skills might make it look like you aren't qualified to do offline consulting, however, there is an easy solution. Many who promote offline marketing also suggest that you subcontract the above costs by outsourcing at least some of these projects. This would require that you learn about outsourcing and freelancing while making any necessary adjustments in your project selling price for the added project costs.
The services that offline businesses are looking for (and need) the most, are:- Optimize for Search Spiders (SEO)- Long Tail Keyword Research- PPC like Google Adwords- Writing & Submitting Articles- Creation of Press Releases- Having An Autoresponder Setup
Of course you aren't limited to just the above services. You'll make more money if you know how to perform these services yourself and you can easily find pages of tutorials by searching on Google. You might also consider searching online to see what your competition is charging for the same services, we call this Market Research!
Next you need to get out there and promote your offline consulting business to those who need it by using every marketing and promoting trick you can think of, such as posting ads on craigslist, printing up fliers, dropping off business cards, knocking on business doors, sending out mailers and putting ads in the paper to name a few. You will be surprised how easy it really is because there is a great need for local businesses to have an online presence and you, my friend, can be the answer.
You can also cash in on your experience and knowledge by writing a small report, ebook or even creating a screen capture video series on some aspect of offline marketing. If you know a lot about setting up an Aweber Autoresponder you could explain all the steps involved in setting up an autoresponder for offline business clients and even further explain what options the local business owner has when setting up an autoresponder. You can write a short, easy-to-understand report or a longer eBook on the subject and sell it to other internet marketers and/or offline business owners who want to learn how to perform these tasks themselves.
The local business man or woman really needs what you have to offer which makes the offline niche very profitable for those who go out and work it. Offline Marketing could be one of the most real and attainable business ventures you've looked at since you've been online.
This book will help you explain some of the facts of Offline Marketing and it has facts and figures you can actually show the customer....a very good resource! As an internet marketing you can transform yourself into an offline marketer bringing your skills to the brick and mortar businesses in your local area....in fact they are begging to find someone like you who knows how to take their business online and get results. The only problem is they might not know it yet and its up to you to convince them. You have to understand these local businesses are really clueless and have no idea where to start, while you already know exactly what needs to be done when trying to market, promote or optimize a website. Things that us internet marketers do on a daily basis, like keyword research, article writing, SEO, press release writing, setting up a PPC campaign, etc. have a unfathomable value to the local business owners that they will pay big bucks.....you loose almost all competition.
Something like 85% of local businesses will began looking online in place of looking for their Yellow Page Book or the phone directory for anything that's needed on a daily basis. Once understood, the local business guy has no recourse except to get online immediately, and you, the Offline Consultant should be there to help! Some offline businesses will have a website and need optimization, articles, press releases, social networking and the normal internet marketing type services. While some offline businesses won't even have a website! Anyway, now is the time for an Offline Consultant to start offering his help for the local business.
Let me show you what I'm talking about, if you look for web designers online, you will easily find someone to do it for $400 to $500. If you're cheap enough, you can find someone to build you a website for 100 bucks! Offline Marketers are in a different game though, they can charge $1,000 or more for a simple website built around the local business owner. And you can even have an online freelancer build it for you for $67 and make an enormous profit! The possibilities are endless and that is only the beginning.
The same can be done with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) , you might start your business by doing all phases yourself but you might want to consider outsourcing or look at places like freelance.com and hire out all of your work, even the SEO portion.
Consider Some of the Crucial Facts:
Let's take a look at the enormous benefits of taking your internet marketing offline -- You will use everything you know now are do now to make much more money by working with local businesses. You can leverage yourself by outsourcing all the steps needed to get the offline client up and running online and your income will increase because you will have many clients...all outsourced! You can make a residual, recurring income by collecting monthly fees from offline businesses for ongoing SEO services, keyword research, article marketing, maintenance, etc. Once you get a couple of local businesses sites up and running you will be known as the local authority when it comes to anything internet, customers will be chasing you down wanting to give you money!
The list of benefits could go on and on, but hopefully you see how going offline can help you expand your income and build your business. I truly hope you take advantage of this opportunity and I hope it takes you places you never thought possible.....wishing you much success!

Article Marketing can be the biggest source of website visitors for any website. There's no denying that articles are the source of much website visitors and will continue to do so for future. You can write a new article for each keyword and then write multiple versions of that article for maximum effect. That's not always necessary, smart marketers have learned how to use article spinners effectively....creating a unique article for each blog post, website or directory you submit to.
I'm sure you've heard it said "The best things in life are free"?
Well, I think that's true on the internet.
I was taking a look at a post in a famous Internet Marketing Membership called Earn1KADay and discovered a link to a free article spinning site. I was sure I would find some crappy spinning app, some kind of garbage app or just some below average giveaway in an attempt to get my name and email address. Man, I found a real live article spinner.
I use Power Article Rewriter to spin my articles into unique and readable articles. Power Article Rewriter is about $100, however, the PAW is no longer supported........I'm so glad I ran across this free online article spinning service because it was comparable to power article rewriter!
I won't get into the reasons for using spun articles but will say that I get very good results with them.
So...., here's the link to "Article Spinner Delux". I dare you...check it out!

Wp Advanced Newspaper Theme
I'm interested in starting an offline business portal in my area. Actually I live in the suburbs of a large city in the U.S. and I could probably create 20 portals that would have 100 businesses or more.
I was looking for a template to use for a local business portal or local business directory.
There are many options available from customs static pages to custom directory type scripts. None seemed to do the trick for me until I stumbled on some newspaper themes for Wordpress blogs. I found a theme that looked just like a newspaper called "Wp Advanced Newspaper Theme" from Gabfire Themes.
Newspaper Themes are an evolution or offspring of the Magazine Style Themes. Magazine Themes at one point were all the rage and were considered the top end of wordpress theme customization. Newspaper Themes, in particular Wp Advanced Newspaper Theme takes wordpress themes into a whole new realm of wordpress blog theme design.
I like the Wp Advanced Newspaper Theme for a local business portal because of its ability to be customized. There are featured sections, plenty of graphics and plenty of categories.
Looking at the image of a Wp Advanced Newspaper Theme you'll see how you might be able to monetize this theme with local business people. Imagine how much you might be able to sell the large primary featured section! You could giveaway a simple blog post in a general category to get some of the local businesses interested, then you could sell them space in a more specific category with a detailed blog post or page.
Check out the Wp Advanced Newspaper Theme if you're thinking of working with local businesses, it will help you and the local business people.....and we know they could really use the help in today's economic climate.

I was doing some research on computer repair business and ran across a forum post from a young man, 18 years old, interested in starting his own computer support business.
I was kind of surprised that so many of the people who responded made a big deal about this kid's age. I think that's crazy!
Take a look at his question:
If you want to start your own computer support business and you have a good working knowledge of computers...then it doesn't matter one bit whether 16 or 80 :)
Knowledge will equate to confidence and as you present yourself, telling the customer what the potential problem can be....well....if you know your stuff, it will show in the way you handle yourself.
Understand this...the market exists for computer support and repair business. As a one man operation, you can keep your overhead really low and make a great income. It can be a full time income or part time income...you decide by the amount of time you work.
More people have problems with their computer than you can even begin to imagine. You can market businesses, government agencies, schools and individuals. Some stores have small bulletin boards...stick your business card up and make sure your phone number and email are bold and obvious. Don't forget to have a website up and operating, even if you just have an index page and contact page......it will build credibility in the eyes of your customers or anyone looking to hire you for some basic computer repair.
You could specialize. Maybe you know how to fix a virus, spyware or malware. It might sound simple to you now, but many, many computer users are clueless when it comes to a virus or spyware infection. You can make home or office visits, clean a computer of all spyware or maleware for a set fee. Make it anything you want because I can almost guarantee that you won't have any competition from any other computer repair business.
If you want to learn a little more about how to repair your computer consider reading this book, Do it Yourself Computer Repair and Computer Secrets Unleashed!

I was kind of surprised that so many of the people who responded made a big deal about this kid's age. I think that's crazy!
Take a look at his question:
Hi, I'm 18 and graduated from high school about a month ago. I'm interested in starting up my own computer support and consulting business. I'm fairly knowledgeable about different computer topics and think that I can provide support for primarily small businesses and maybe some private citizens. However, there are a lot of questions I have about starting a small computer support business that I'm not finding answered in the usual "how to start a small business" books and sites. So I thought that maybe some of the people here who have maybe been doing this thing themselves for a while could help me out.
So in no particular order here are some questions I have:
* I'm located in Asheville, NC which is in the south. For the south what are some reasonable price ranges for work that I charge for the hour by? I'm thinking 25 - 40 or 45 USD a hour seems like a reasonable amount.
* I know a lot of businesses have computer problems they need fixed 'Right Now!", and for which I could be on call. I'm wondering what kind of retainer fee, or what kind of pricing system would work for something like being on call.
* For work contracts, what is a good way to word them? I've been trying to write up contracts, but I'm pretty lost. Can anyone suggest some sites or sources or tips for how to write contracts for technical work?
* Does it make sense to get any certifications if I'm working for myself? I know they help in getting a job, but likely none of my clients will understand any certification I show them.
* How do you deal with support afterwards? When whatever I did for them messes up? Should I have it already in my contract that they will need to pay for future work? How much of a "warranty" makes sense?
* For hardware does it make more sense to refer them to a vendor to purchase or just put it down as expenses? Since I'm going to be buying hardware in small quantities does it make sense to stick with a good retailer like NewEgg.com or try and get cheaper prices from a wholesaler or the like?
* Are there any "unions" or the like for IT professionals working on their own? Or other organizations that could be of use to me that I could learn from?
* I've been trying to think of a list of what issues and software that businesses most commonly deal with. One of my biggest fears is that most of my experience has been with troubleshooting and working with either personal computers or with servers. Any suggestions on what kind of work I will most commonly be doing for small businesses? I assume problems with like Windows and Office Word/Exchange/Excel seem obvious, but besides that any other suggestions?
* Are there any books out there about starting computer support business? I've been reading some books on small business, but none that really specifically address the tech industry.

For Successful Marketing Understand Your Target Market

Before you can do any good advertising your product and service or undergo any decent marketing campaign you have to know your target market. In the world of internet marketing you need to be able to know as precisely as possible all the information you can gather so you can custom tailor your marketing mix to be more effective.
You will need to know about their demographics. On any online marketing campaign you need to know who it is that you are reaching out to. What does your ideal customer look like? How old are they? What income bracket are they in? Where do they work? Where do they socialize? What are their buying habits? The marketing strategies that you incorporate are going to use all this information. Fortunately it doesn't take much to find out much of this. If you are targeting a certain geographic area, use the internet to find out as much demographic information as possible. In the US use the chamber of commerce for that area.
For your market targeting you will also need to know about their geographic location. What is the culture there like. Get familiar with ti and find out what things are typical for that region. Make sure you find out not only what marketing strategies are popular but find out also what things are taboo. What may seem harmless to one region may be a death sentence to your marketing strategy if your marketing research doesn't find this information out.
You also need to see what other factors might affect the buying decision and behavior of your target market. What styles are in fashion for your target markets? What type of climate is it? Are they freewith their money? It may seem like a lot of work but if you want your marketing plan to work, all of this research is going to pay off.
The most important part of your marketing research will be understanding your customers needs. The more you understand this, the better able you will be to create an ad campaign. This will help bring about some effective branding of your product and services as a viable part of their buying pattern.
Your best way to find out about your target market, though, is to spend time where they are. If your hope is to have a coffee shop, you are going to want to see first hand what works and doesn't work You will want to know what the atmosphere is like in a successful coffee shop and spend time talking to customers to find out what they like and don't like about it. The same thing is going to be important for any online marketing plan.
Wherever it is that your potential customers go to find out more about what you are trying to offer them, go and spend time there. If there is a forum that is used by those who typically are interested in your product or service, be a member of it or spend time reading what is going on. Get in the shoes of your target market and find out what it is like to be them. The more you can understand them, the more effective you will be a marketing to your target market.
Learn the basics of internet marketing and then take it offline to show brick and mortar stores how to market effectively using internet marketing.

Computer Support Business and Interent Marketing
Have you thought about Starting Your Own Computer Support Business? It's one of the easiest ways to develop extra income provided you have some of the basic knowledge and understanding when it comes to computers.

For those who rely on computers to run their own at home business, their computer is their lifeline. Most do not know much about how a computer works. After you have found a good workspace that is clean and organized you will need to get a business license which will bring about credibility and also seek to get insurance for your business to help cover you in case unforeseen things happen that could cost you your business.
Make sure that you have the latest software to help you diagnose problems and make sure they are up to date. Also make sure that you have all the most up to date virus knowledge and scanners available to help keep your computers from being infected but also those you are working on.
Build a website. There is no doubt that having a web presence can help make you known, even in your area. For getting a good start to your computer business look for ways to have your website optimized for local searches on all the major search engines. As someone working with computers this is something that should be an essential par of your business plan.

I know 2 teenagers that have minimal knowledge of how computers work, they fix things like virus infections, spyware, malware and other parasites. They have a routine and if they can fix the problems, they get paid. They then offer to install the needed antispyware and malware programs that are purchased through their affiliate links.......these dudes make some nice extra cash and can't keep up with the demand.
People don't want to throw their computers away....they would like to fix them, but they don;t know who to take them to. This is one Business Model that will prove very profitable for any ambitious person!
